St. Edmund’s offers a warm welcome as we practise various ways to experience God and the path of faith as it weaves into our different lives. Our Church community has people of all ages and at all stages in their personal journey of faith, from those who have been Christians for years to others who are just asking about who is God and where is he in their lives.
Our aim is to discover God our Father together, and then to discover what it means to grow into a mature, prayerful relationship with Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, so that together we can serve our neighbourhood and the wider world.
St. Edmund’s looks like a traditional historical place of worship, and it is, but it is also active and enthusiastic to find God in our lives to-day. We believe in reaching out to be where people are, finding spiritual meaning that is relevant to our lives here and now. Reaching out to families, especially those young families in Shipston, is another way that our work guided by the love of God, is relevant to the lives of those around us. So, what ever your stage of life and faith, we look forward to welcoming you to St. Edmund’s, the Parish Church for Shipston on Stour.
